Abay Bank S.C. invites competent and qualified candidates for the following positions.

Abay Bank has fulfilled all the necessary requirements of the National Bank of Ethiopia to set up a bank, and officially established on July 14th 2010 and started full-fledged banking operations on November 3, 2010.

Currently, paid up-capital of the bank is Birr 4.733 Billion/ Four Billion Seven Hundred Thirty three Million Birr as of June 30, 2023, and the number of share holders reached 4,437/ Four Thousand Four Hundred Thirty Seven.

The Bank is poised to serve all economic sectors through its network of branches. It extends its services to domestic trade and services, international trade, agriculture, industry, transportation, construction and real estate sectors

Position 1: Management Assistant

Required Education and Experience: Degree in Secretarial Science and Office Management/Administrative Service Management with a minimum of 3 years of related work experience.

Management Assistant is responsible to Performs basic knowledge in secretarial duties (organizing records, typing skills, computer basic knowledge & skills, Customer handling & communication skill); registers and files letters, minutes, circulars, memoranda and manage office equipment, screens visitors, schedules appointments and arranges telephone contacts to and from supervisor.

Place of Work: Head Office

Position 2: Administrative Assistant

Required Education and Experience: BA/Diploma in Secretarial Science & Office Management/Administrative Service Management with 2/3 years relevant work experience.

The Admin Assistant responsible for experiencing basic knowledge in secretarial duties(Organizing records, typing skills, Computer basic knowledge & skills, Customer handling & communication skill); registers and files letters, minutes, circulars, memoranda and other materials Screens visitors, schedules appointments and arranges telephone contacts to and from supervisor.

Place of Work: Debre Birhan District

Position 3: Store Keeper – I

Required Education and Experience: BA Degree in Procurement and supplies Management/Supplies Management/Management/Accounting, or business related field of study with a minimum of 2 years in property management related work experience.

He/she is responsible to maintain proper inventory list of all fixed assets of the bank, to receive and to store materials and supplies against a copy of Bank’s purchase order and Delivery invoice of the supplier, to issue materials from stock per requisition, and to hand over stock to receiving organs or employees of the bank. He/she maintains an inventory record for each of the item under his or her control and updates records of all receipts and withdrawals.

Place of Work: Debre Birhan District

Position 4: Junior Hardware Technician

Required Education and Experience: BSC Computer Science, IT, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years’ of  experience in hardware maintenance.

The Jr. Hardware Technician is responsible to perform preventive maintenance of hardware and software install, update and troubleshoots applications.
